The Catalogue

How fragrances are listed

The fragrances on aroma.moda come from two places. Some are scents I have worn, studied, and formed a real opinion of over time. Others are research-led recommendations — fragrances that, based on everything I know about a house, a nose, and a brief, I am confident enough to recommend for a particular situation. Both are written about honestly. I do not list a fragrance I cannot say something true about.

I am always open to adding new fragrances, new brands, and new releases. The catalogue is growing and I am actively looking to fill gaps — particularly in houses I have not yet covered properly.

Submissions

What to send, and why

A single wearing tells you very little. Fragrance changes across seasons, skin types, and moods — and a first impression is rarely the one that ends up in print. To evaluate a fragrance properly I need to live with it for a while. That means I require multiple sample vials before I can write about anything with confidence.

If you would like your fragrance to appear on my social media — where I document what I am actually wearing, in real conditions — I will need a full-size bottle. Social content is shot and written around extended wear. A vial does not give me enough to work with for that context.

All reviews are published at my discretion. Sending samples does not guarantee coverage, and I will never say so if I do not mean it. That said, my approach is honest rather than harsh — I am looking for what is interesting or good about a fragrance, not a reason to dismiss it. If something is not for me, I will say so plainly and explain why. Coverage may appear on aroma.moda, on my Fragrantica profile, on social media, or across a combination of all three, depending on what the fragrance gives me to work with.

About

Who is behind this

I have been drawn to fragrance since my teenage years — first as a wearer, then as someone who started asking why certain scents worked and others did not. That curiosity has not left me. For the past three years I have been working professionally in the fragrance industry, which has sharpened my nose and broadened my understanding of how houses are built, how launches are positioned, and what genuine quality looks like at different price points.

aroma.moda is a personal project that grew out of that background. I am still on the journey — always ready to encounter something that changes how I think about a note, a house, or a style of perfumery. That openness is what makes this worth doing.
